About: Steve Hodder

Steve Hodder Media Ltd was created in 2010 by Steve Hodder following a successful career spanning over 20 years in the digital multi-media, television, and radio industries, specialising in the operational management and service delivery of high availability and complex broadcast services. Steve is a specialist in all operational aspects of the Interactive Television Services which the advent of digital technology has enabled.

His early career started as a Presentation Network Director with BBC Television, Channel Four, & ITV along with a number of other satellite channels, later progressing into Senior Operational Management. Steve was responsible for launching some of the first interactive television applications on the UK’s digital TV platforms during his time with Two Way TV before moving to his most recent role as Head of Operations with Red Bee Media (formerly BBC Broadcast). In this position (which he held for 8 years), Steve was responsible for the delivery of the BBC’s “red” and “green” button interactive services, as well as the support of other online and on-demand services.

Steve is business driven with excellent communication and negotiation skills, together with a proven track record for achieving operational excellence by designing and implementing robust operational procedures and service level improvement processes.

He is also a strong client and people manager with good organisational expertise, and has the ability to motivate and influence results driven teams. Steve has accomplished significant results through a hands-on pragmatic approach by building strong client relationships at all levels, along with leading technical teams tasked with developing cutting edge new media solutions.
